Official program

In order to help participants prepare for the simulation, NAFI sends the delegates a description of their assigned role, the Triumvirate Constitution, a Roles Guide, a Participant's Handbook, an Official Program and information bulletins. Delegates must regularly visit our web site under the Triumvirate 2008 link for updates. For the 2008 edition the themes are: 1- Fostering Renewable Electricity Markets (in English), 2- Countering North American corporate outsourcing (in French), 3- Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (in English), 4- NAFTA’s Chapter 11 on investments (in English).

The 2008 edition will take place in French and English. Simultaneous interpretation will be available during the plenary session debates; however the parliamentary commissions will each take place in one of the two languages. Official documentation originating from NAFI will be available in three languages (French, English and Spanish), but the documents produced for the parliamentary commissions are available only in the official language of that commission. NAFI secretariat will communicate with the participants via the Internet.

The following information documents have been designed to assist delegates in their preparation to the Triumvirate:

Delegates must have knowledge of the document pertaining to his or her political commission. The other documents are optional but highly recommended. Each commission will take place in either French or English as indicated in parentheses next to the commissions' themes here below. Some of the documents are available in English, French and Spanish.
